Industrial designer, architect, professor emeritus and Doctor of Industrial Design from the University of Buenos Aires, Blanco was also one of the creators of the Industrial Design program at that university.
In 1972, he created the venture 'Equipamiento de hoy' (Today's Equipment). For the company Indumar, he developed more than 100 products, including the Plaka folding Chair and the Skel Armchair.
He was a full member of the National Academy of Fine Arts and served as its president for two terms (2010-2012 and 2013-2015), promoting a series of activities that energized the corporation's goals. He was also president of the Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation and a board member of the National Arts Fund.
He passed away on 09/11/2017.
