For one full day, a portable glassblowing workshop was set up in an open, accessible space in the heart of Barcelona. The public was invited to drop in at any moment and witness a live prototyping session, where the glassblower and designers experimented with ideas and moulds for the very first time.

“This moment of trial and error usually happens behind closed doors. We wanted to open it up, to make both the craft and design process more accessible. It’s also an important conversation: understanding and preserving traditional crafts. When people see the time, skill, and care involved in making a glass object, their perception of it changes. We wanted them to feel part of the creation — to experience the tension, joy, and magic of glassblowing.” (A.Perini)

The outcome:

A collection of stackable glass plates, inspired by the spontaneous beauty of la hora del vermut.

This moment — sharing small dishes and drinks with friends at home or in a bar — brings a joyful sense of organized chaos to the table. A mix of plates, glasses, and snacks layered in an informal but harmonious setting.

Each plate is made of colored glass, with its own unique height adapted to different types of food. The outer colors are soft and versatile, blending seamlessly into any table setting. Inside, deeper tones create contrast with the food, revealing a playful surprise as the stack is taken apart.
