Designed to be used for opening letters, as a butter knife, or as a decorative object this knife is made from a sheet of bronze that is cut into pieces of simple and complete silhouettes. The cut pieces are polished until a golden reflection extends across the surface, leaving their edges pure and smooth.

Diego´s creations are inspired by a possible narrative about the relationship between our ancestors, copper, bronze, and the visual culture that dominates our history.

To maintain the appearance of the piece:

Only necessary to remove dust a few times a year, using a clean feather duster, or a dry cotton cloth without pressing on the surface.

If there’s a stain:

a. Materials:

-Clean, dry cotton cloth

-Rubber or latex gloves

-Brasso© or hydrocarbon cleaner

b. Now, follow these steps:

-Prepare the work area: Choose a clean, well-ventilated space.

-Preliminary cleaning: Use a dry cotton cloth to remove dust and surface dirt.

-Application: Apply about 15 ml of Brasso or hydrocarbon cleaner directly onto the piece.

-Rubbing: Spread the liquid evenly with a cloth and gently rub in linear and horizontal motions.

-Polishing: Rub with a clean cloth until the metal shines.

-Repeat if necessary: If stains or dullness remain, repeat the cleaning and polishing.

-Final cleaning: Wipe away any residue of Brasso or cleaner with a clean cloth.

-Drying: Let the bronze object air dry completely before handling or placing it.
