Inspired by the alchemy of transformation, Chilean artist Dita Cossio challenges the static nature of matter through her signature padded leather mold technique, a unique method developed in her studio. Using her sewing machine to craft soft leather molds to cast pigmented porcelain, Cossio allows physical laws and natural forces to dictate the final shape and texture of the work.

Extracted from mold SM15, Piece No. 3 is a unique object within a limited series of just 7 pieces. Its form offers a captivating fusion of the rigid and the flexible, presenting an illusory encounter where porcelain transcends its density to merge with the tactile memory of leather. A compelling study on the boundaries between the tangible and the illusory.

Availability: Unique piece in stock ready to ship from Germany. Subsequent pieces are made to order, handcrafted and shipped directly from Chile

Shipping: Delivery via DHL, calculated at checkout.

Delivery Information

When you place your order, you will receive an estimated delivery date on the checkout page. Additionally, we will send you an email with the estimated delivery date within a maximum of 3 days. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 8 PM, excluding public holidays.

Clean using a dishwashing brush and a soft-bristle brush. Allow to air dry (do not use cloths to dry, as lint may stick to the surface)
