The name “Y” stands for the way the rear legs and the back support are placed. This simple chair leans forward in a flexible and articulated way, in a bit of a childish attitude imitating some wooden toys and children’s sketches. When turned around it can also be used as a little horse.

This simplicity and naivety of the less-practical, in a world of constant pressures towards perfection and performance is a way of communicating peace and equilibrium. Technically having three pieces meet at the seat was a challenge that remains concealed inside the wooden structure, using metallic pieces to add sturdiness. The back support is meant for the lower back and as a handle.
