This 100% handcrafted lamp is part of The Mush Collection.

The design combines soft and strong materials. By layering fiberglass and organic fibers, and leaving small gaps in the casting, it creates empty spaces that naturally separate the different layers.

This uniqueness comes from the inspiration in nature behind the piece and the perfect imperfection one can find in it but also in the designer's intention for keeping all processes extremely manual, using local manufactures and providing employment and opportunities in the area.

Care Instructions

- Dust the shades lightly with a duster.
- Do not use sprays or any other liquid cleaning products.
- When stained, use gloves and a damp sponge. Make sure the lamp is not connected to electricity. Do this carefully as some fibers could detach from the shade (this is not dangerous but can create a temporary itch).
- Let it dry completely and apply a layer of lacquer or hairspray to ensure friction doesn't create loose fibers. Avoid this process unless necessary. The lamps are prepared for use and are resistant to most stains.
- In case a stain is persistent, use gloves, acetone, and a piece of fabric to clean it off. Repeat the process if needed.

Born in Venezuela to a Spanish father and Syrian mother, Jorge Suárez Kilzi draws from a life of continuous migration and his background in acclaimed Japanese architectural firms (SANAA and Junya Ishigami) to conceptualize The Mush Collection.

Inspired by the quiet growth of mushrooms in nature, this family of softly sculptural luminaires translates natural forms into living, tactile objects. Handcrafted in Spain through a delicate layering of fiberglass, resin, and organic fibers, each piece develops a translucent, paper-like surface.

Horizontal Volume and Organic Silhouette.

Featuring a wide, low-profile silhouette 51cm width, The Mush Chub explores bolder, rounded proportions. Natural gaps created during manual casting allow light to pass through the resin layers at varying intensities, creating a captivating functional sculpture.
